How To Bring Kartra And SEO Together For Top Rankings!

Home » Kartra » How To Bring Kartra And SEO Together For Top Rankings!

When you have taken the time to create an attractive landing page or fill Kartra site, you will want to set it all up with both Kartran and SEO in mind.  Organic search traffic from Google, Bing, and other search engines is an excellent way to get sales and conversions.

If you are considering Kartra, check out our full Kartra review here.

In this article, I will show you all the areas on your page that you need to focus on for good on-page SEO.  Now, it is important to note that this isn’t going to be a full tutorial on SEO in general, just showing where things are to be set up in Kartra to achieve a well-optimized page. So, if you are completely new to SEO, you may want to step back and learn all the essentials first.  Once you have done this, the article here will make much more sense.

I will also mention that for all my on-page SEO setups, I use a tool called Page Optimizer Pro to do all the measurements needed to know what aspects of a page need to be optimized and how to optimize them.

Quick note about Page Optimizer Pro – it’s awesome!  Give it a keyword and the top 10 competitors for that keyword and it can calculate everything you need for your page to rank.  Number of words, keyword variations and how many times to include each, types and number of heading tags to use, number of image alts to include, and much more!  I believe that my rankings and traffic on my sites have been helped a lot by this one tool.

At a high level, these are the areas of your page that you will want to make sure are optimized for SEO in Kartra and your landing pages rank in Google:

  • Title tag
  • OG (Open Graph) settings
  • Meta description
  • Heading tags
  • Text on the page
  • Anchor texts
  • Image alt tags
  • Bold text
  • Italic text
  • URL’s
  • Schema

Setting Up Your SEO Initial Settings

When you launch the builder, you will want to begin this process by clicking on the Settings option and adding the SEO parameters section.  In this area, you can set the page title, OG data, and meta description.

Heading Tags

Heading tags are set up in the text editor for a text block.  When you edit a text block, you will see a drop-down called “Format.”  Click that, and you will see all the levels of headings you need.

So with this, whatever text you want to turn into a heading can be done here.

Setting Specific Text On The Page

For the page’s text, you use the same method as the headings area above, except that you set the block of text for this to “Normal.”

Setting Anchor Texts, Bolds, And Italics

By using the same text editor as above, when you are linking to another page on your site and want to set the correct anchor text to use, you highlight the text that you want to use in the paragraph and click the link button to add the link.  The same can be done by setting bolded and italic words.

Setting Up Image Alt Text

Now, this may be a place where, at least for now, Kartra falls short.  I have not found a place to set up your alt text.  While this is probably not going to make a huge negative impact on the SEO for your page, it is something that will hopefully be added in the future.  When it is, I will update this page!

Setting Up Schema Markup

This can be set up, but at this point, it requires you to have a few technical skills, at least enough to create the schema code manually.  You can use the HTML code block to set it up and copy your schema code there.  One thing to note, though, is that when I tested it, the code block I created made a blank section on my page, which messed up the design.  However, I think that with some simple adjustments, it should be easily correctable.

Setting A Specific URL

When you are ready to publish the page, you can set up a specific URL.  You set it to a good keyword-rich URL, and you are done.

And there you have it, a very high-level way to set up the most important page aspects for SEO in Kartra.  I know it seems like it isn’t a lot, but as someone who has been doing SEO for over ten years, this is all you need for on-page settings.
